Hi I'm Luetta

I grew up in Wyoming. I am a retired Intensive (autism K-2) teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of five sons and two daughters. I enjoy biking, hiking, camping, swiming, bird watching, family history and visiting with my family. I attended college up though my junior year before becoming a mother when I worked and helped my husband complete his education. I went back to school after our seventh child was born. I enjoyed a teaching career in special education spending my last few years teaching K-2 autistic students.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because as a young girl I watched friends make choices not in line with what I had been taught at church. I decided I needed to know if what I had been taught at church was true. I borrowed my Mothers Book of Mormon and started reading. As I read and prayed about it I got this warm feeling in my heart and knew I needed to live what I had been taught. I love the teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have found joy in my life as I have lived the teachings therein.

How I live my faith

I have spend many years working in the Boy Scouts of America Cub Scout program. I enjoy helping organize appropriate activites for our young men 8, 9 and 10 years old and participating with them on hikes, bike rides etc. I have worked with young women who or 12-18 years old organizing weekly activites and Sunday lessons. I have enjoyed helping organized summer time camping experiences for these special young people. It has been very rewarding to watch youth grow up into responsible adults who love the gospel of Jesus Christ as I do.
