Hi I'm Daniel

I love the Movies, and being in them. I always enjoy a good pun, and also, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up in Utah, I have not always been on the LDS spectrum, but have always been close to the example of others. I was converted to the church about 3 years ago, in my junior year of high school. I have completed two semesters at LDS Business College, working there as a Student Financial Aid Specialist. I am currently serving a mission in Detroit Michigan. Since my conversion, I have switched between three different passions: Acting, Teaching, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In each and every aspect in life, it has now been my goal to center my life on Christ, in all I do. I am always learning new things in this Gospel everyday and will continue to do so.

Why I am a Mormon

In the Book of Mormon is reads "Consider of the blessed and happy state of those who keep the Commandments of God.." (Mosiah 2:41). That is what I saw. Early in my youth, it was evident that something was missing. My family was separated, and we were always moving around the state, to find some peace, but it never came, at least not to me. Eventually I turned cold to anything faithful. It seemed easier not to believe, and so I found myself not believing in anything, heavenly or even within myself. It was easier to be Stoic. This did not bring any happiness either. I eventually settled in a northern Utah town, where I started high school. It was here I eventually started to see otherwise. Through the influence of friends and their families, I saw something more. Something brighter, happier in their lives. Through their help, I was eventually invited to meet the Missionaries in a friend's home. Their message, their joy, it all made sense. I felt something stir inside me, a fire began to burn. There was someone there, and I began to see that He did know and care for me. I couldn't have realized that without their help. Since then I promised God to follow and learn more of him and of his Son, Jesus Christ. He has never let me down and continues to strengthen my knowledge and passion for his Gospel. This is true. I know it.

How I live my faith

In how I live my faith, my biggest goal has been centering my life in Christ. Its not something that I feel obligated to do, but a principle that I have a strong want to pursue. Coming back into the Church late in my adolescence, I was finally able to receive the Priesthood, at age 16. I was soon after called to serve in leadership positions in our young mens' quorum, providing a leader and example to the youth. In High School and College, I have volunteered to be a Mentor and Ambassador to other students, providing them with a friend and mentor to help them along they way. One leadership principle I have learned from Christ is how he led; leading by example. By studying the Life of Christ and how he lead and taught his disciples, has given me greater insight on this Gospel, and has helped me prepare for the biggest step in my life, serving a mission for 2 years in Detroit, Michigan.
