Hi I'm Taylor

I was raised in California and now I live in Salt Lake City with my beatiful family. I work at a bank and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a very small town outside of Sacramento in a family of 7. I served a mormon mission in South Korea in 2007. I enjoy watching sports, playing sports and being active in general. I married my best friend in April of 2012 and have never been happier. Right now I work at a bank and she going to nursing school. We could not be happier.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply because I feel good. I feel good going to church. I feel good reading from the Book of Mormon. I feel good participating in ward activities and serving alongside with the young men. It felt good and right getting married in a Temple and being sealed to my best friend. When you feel good about what you are doing, you are happy. I'm a Mormon because I know this faith provides me the best path to happiness and peace. I know that's true.

How I live my faith

My calling in my ward right now is in the Young Men's Presidency. This allows me to get to know the youth of the ward better and helps me to serve them. I get to teach the young men every month. The best way I can think to live my faith is to serve.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Taylor
To me, the Atonement is everything. I remember on my mission someone asked me just this: "what is the Atonement?" and I answered with, "the Atonement is everything." It means everything to me. My Elder Brother, Jesus, went into a garden and somehow, in some way, he took upon himself my sins, mistakes, pains, afflictions, and faults. Because of that, I can repent, and become "clean". I have always thought the Atonement is more than something that comes into effect at the end of our life. I think it is a strengthening power throughout our life that can be drawn upon when we need it. That's what it has been for me. I have noticed as I look back at difficult points and experiences in my life; during those hard times I became so close to God and my Savior because of His Atonement. Because of the Atonement, Jesus knows exactly how I feel at any given point in my life. For that, I am eternally grateful and indebted. I truly do "stand all amazed". Show more Show less
