Hi I'm David Martin

Hello, I am a mormon. I was born and raised in the state of Michigan.

About Me

After I graduated from high school, the economy was bad so I joined the US Navy. I served our country for four years, going on three, seven month deployments; eventually earning myself an honorable discharge. Upon my return home I began to work and begin my life as a Michigander all over. Know in my older age I love to play golf and go fishing. Now I have found the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Baptist church as a child, but when I became a teen my mother stopped going and subsequently so did all of us children. While in the military I had a reason to be going into the base church and I almost fainted when I walked in, so began my curiosity about religion. After I was released from the service I search for a church, yet none was correct for me. For a long while I called myself agnostic, as my search was proving to be futile; I was iliving in my own personal apostasy. Then the missionaries came knocking, and they were quick to get me to get baptized; however I didnot for I wanted to learn more about the church before joining. Now I love being a member of the church, and learning more about the scripture.

How I live my faith

Being a recent convert I tend to read my scriptures almost daily, and attend church as frequently as possible. As of yet I have not recieved a calling within our ward, but I am sure one is forthcoming. One thing that I really have come to enjoy is to go home teaching, our families seem to glow when they open their door and see that some church members have come to pay them a visit.
