Hi I'm Raukohe Poi

I grew up in New Zealand, moved to Australia when i was 18 and love to play Touch i'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a New Zealand born Maori and have Five sisters no Brothers, my parents were converts to the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, i was baptized at the age of Eight and lived in the gospel from then on. I moved to Australia at the age of 18 with my parents and youngest sister, I have lived here for Five years now and have received my call to serve in the Perth, Australia mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Most of my life i only came to church because i had no other choice, but when i was older and missed one Sunday, i felt that something was missing and realized that i needed to be at church. I started reading through the Book of Mormon and i felt the Spirit testifying that what was in this book is true. from there everything i had learnt in seminary and Institute had to be true if the Book of Mormon is true. life seemed to have direction and now i know what i must do, which has lead me to Serving a Full time mission.

How I live my faith

My first official calling i was called to after i received the Priesthood was the Assistant Ward Clerk and i was responsible for the Recording and data collecting of various church meetings, collecting and submitting of the tithing and getting the information for those people who needed it in the different areas of the church. the second calling i had was a primary teacher. I was responsible for the children aged 11 turning 12 and i taught them the essential things they needed to know to advance to the Aaronic Priesthood.
