Hi I'm Miranda

I'm a musician, I play the upright bass, and I've played at Carnegie Hall. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married, I'm a music education major, and I have a passion for all kinds of music. I get to do the things I love most in life like music and being with my family, and occasionally doing crafts. I live with my whole heart and never look back.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it was the first time I felt like I belonged somewhere in my life. I have grown up feeling slightly out of place in my family and had no religious background growing up. When I met my husband, I was curious about the church and asked if I could come. I have been to other churches as a child and as an adult and did not feel anything. I felt uncomfortable and out of place. When I walked into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I was instantly overcome with tears of belonging and love and I had no idea why. I felt like this was the first time I fit in somewhere where I could be me. I couldn't believe that after just that one day, I felt like I was in the right place for the first time in my life. I know that every person has many trials and obstacles to go through and I have had my fair share of them within just my family. However, I now know that the things that happened before in my life were not just pure luck and hope, it was the work of my Heavenly Father. I know that he has had a plan for me from the start before I even knew who he really was and what he does for me. I know that I am his child and I have been given the things I have for a reason. I love my family with all my heart and I know that one day they will understand why I chose to be a Mormon. It is something that I feel from the bottom of my heart and I know that everything is true. I am a Mormon because I feel the most humble and giving I have ever felt in my life, and it has changed me for the better because I can feel it in my very core. All the things I feel inside me are not just feelings, they are the works of the Holy Ghost. That feeling of love and belonging has brought me so far in this church, and I know that coming from a family with no religious background can not be discounted, I have felt all the love in the world from them, but I feel so complete now that I have both my family and my Heavenly Father, I have found the missing piece in my life.

How I live my faith

I serve as a Ward Missionary with my husband. Basically, what a Ward Missionary is is a person who makes sure everybody in their Ward is okay, seeing how their life is going, seeing if there's anything they need, and checking in on less-active and in-active members of our Ward Family.
