Hi I'm Holli

Born and raised in good ole' Idaho, I'm a full time student at BYU and a hopeful accounting major. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love to read, write, and play the piano. I love to sing and have been in a choir class at school since eighth grade. I am budding accountant - I hope to get into the accounting program at BYU. I love spending time with my family and miss them like crazy since I've been at college. I played on an Intramural basketball team here at BYU and I love hanging out with my crazy roommates. Disney shows are my favorite kinds of movies. I have two wonderful sisters and two amazing brothers - my sisters will be joining me and one of my brothers out in the mission field soon! I absolutely love animals but dogs are my number one favorite. My family got a dog when I was 8 and we have been spoiling him ever since.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and have honestly felt in my heart that this is the true church. I have had wonderful parents who have taught me to follow the gospel and more importantly my Savior. Especially during my teenage years I have frequently questioned my knowledge about this church and at some points my testimony has been in jeopardy. There is so much confusion, anger, and hatred in the world that it is hard not to be affected by it. But I've found that the closer I lean towards my Savior in times of trial, it is much easier to stay on the path that leads to happiness. It is hard, and almost never easy, but it is worth it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying each and every day to do what the Lord has directed me to do. Through modern day prophets and apostles I know that the Lord speaks to His children today and by striving to live righteously and follow His commandments, I know that the Lord can protect me. I try to be a good example for those around me, but find I am influenced more each and every day by peers, relatives, and friends. I serve in my ward and seek to reach out and bring a smile to others' faces. I try to be an instrument in the Lord's hands as I prepare to go on my 18 month mission to Arcadia California.
