Hi I'm Amy

mom, wife, student.... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 5, 4 boys and the youngest is a girl. I take great joy in being a mom and love spending time with my kids, ages 13, 12, 10, 7,4. I am a full time student majoring in health sciences with a minor in Spanish and work at a preschool in town. In my free time I love to run and work out at our crossfit gym. I play cello in our community orchestra and love going to concerts and to see live music.

Why I am a Mormon

As a teenager growing up in a Mormon church, I felt that the church was restrictive and not for me. It was much more fun for me to spend time going to parties and live a life not in line with church teachings. I met my husband during this time in our lives who was also an inactive member. After having a few children, I felt strongly we needed to turn to a spiritual community as we felt lost in the teaching of our children. Despite not having been to church or active for several years, I knew I needed to return to the church I had been raised in. despite my feelings about the church at the time, I had never doubted the truthfulness of the gospel. Going back to church and taking the missionary discussions were amazing experiences, topped only by the day I got to go to the temple with my husband and 3 beautiful young children. I know that we made the right decisions in returning to the gospel as evidenced by the happiness that grew within our home during this time.

How I live my faith

for the past 5 years I was able to work with the children of the church. I had such a great time planning programs for them and getting to be involved with their spiritual growth. Within our home we read the scriptures daily as a family.
