Hi I'm Nathan

I'm a grateful Mormon. My life is nothing without our Savior and without His church.

About Me

I am a Network Engineer currently working in the Northern Virginia area. I have a wonderful wife, a beautiful daughter, and another child on the way. I am completely content with my life despite several struggles I have faced and I owe my success within my career to the principles I have learned at church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this is were I belong. I know this way of life is what will get me back to my Heavenly Father and I known that our Savior, Jesus Christ, gave his life as a testament to the teachings we study on a regular basis. I know this because I have not always lived the way that I should have and I have experienced first-hand the night and day difference that it has made in my life by living the way that I know I am supposed to be living. Our Heavenly Father has blessed us all with a chance to come here to the Earth to prove our obedience and to experience the love that He has for us. He has provided us with His Plan of Salvation that insures we are able to return to him and the rest of our loved ones should we decide to live in the manner that He has asked of us.

How I live my faith

Like most other Mormons, I attend church every Sunday and I have what we refer to as a "calling." This is basically a role that we are asked to fulfill where we are chosen to uphold particular responsibilities based on this calling. For example, one calling could be to teach the Sunday School lessons each Sunday while another calling could be to serve as a Scout Leader within the Boy Scouts. My particular calling is the Membership Clerk, which means I am responsible for updating our local records with the names and contact information of each of the members in our geographical area as well as each of the callings that these members hold. Any time our local records are updated, this information is electronically forwarded to the Church Headquarters in Salt Lake City so the database of the entire Church remains up to date.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Nathan
You can know that Mormonism is true by listening to the feelings that you get when you pray to our Father. When we follow the teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we are blessed with the companionship of the Holy Ghost. This companionship is what lets us know when things are right and when they are wrong because we are able to feel the confirmation of what we call the "Spirit" telling us that these things are true. If you truly wish to know whether the Church is true or not, all you need to do is ask with a sincere heart and the answer will be given to you. Show more Show less
