Hi I'm Angie

I grew up Hyrum Utah. I love sunny days, eating ice cream, and making others smile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

People would generally describe me as, simply, a happy person. I absolutely love trying to find the good in everything! While i was in high school I did a lot with music. I have learned how to play the piano, cello, trumpet, and the french horn, and i also love to sing! I occasionally play the piano and sing pretty much whenever I can. I am currently going to school at Utah State University studying Communication Studies with an HR emphasis. I love going to school there! (Go Aggies!!) I served a mission for the church in Fresno, California. I absolutely love California and the many people I met while I was there! I loved being able to take that time to serve the Lord, my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the opportunity, or what I believe to be a blessing, of being raised in this church. I have been taught the principles and doctrine that this church believes since before I can remember. While growing up I was exposed to other beliefs and ideas outside of this church. There were times where I did wonder if the things i had been taught were true, and if God did exist. I think that this is something everyone experiences in life. I believe we all wonder at one point if God is real, if He does know who we are, and if He does love us. At times we may think that it's impossible these things are true because of the horrible things that happen on earth at this time. We may wonder why God would let bad things happen, especially to those who are good people. It is during these times of doubt when it is crucial that we find out for ourselves if He does live. This is when we need to pray to Him and ask Him ourselves. I can promise you that He is real. He does live and He most certainly does love you! I have prayed myself asking if He loves me. I can testify that I felt His love for me. I cannot say I have had a large and significant experience where I received a vision proving to me that He lives. It is through the small miracles in my life where I had His existence proven to me. I know also that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. I know that we can be forgiven of mistakes we have made, but only through repentance and the atonement made by Christ. I can testify that in hard times when we feel completely alone, or when we feel weighed down by challenges, that we can be comforted by Him. Jesus Christ knows exactly how we feel, knows us personally, and will give us strength when we feel like we have none. I continue in His church because I cannot deny that it is true. I have seen far to many witnesses of the truthfulness of what I've learned to falter in my testimony. I know that what this church has is great and true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing small things daily. I take time out of my day to study the scriptures that God has so graciously given us. I take time to speak with my Heavenly Father through prayer to show him my appreciation for all that He does for me and for others. I take one day out of my week and devote it to him my going to church and learning more about His Son, Jesus Christ. Each of these things, though small have made the world of a difference in my life and help strengthen my faith daily! I also pray for opportunities to serve others each day. This time that we have on earth is extremely short in the long scheme of things, and even though it's short it holds challenges for each and every one of us. Because God loves us he will often bless the lives of His children through having his other children serve them. We are His hands while we are here! Because of this I strive daily to serve and uplift others!
