Hi I'm Kelsey

I'm born and raised in Idaho. I am a student at BYU-Idaho, I am a missionary serving in Columbus, Ohio and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Kelsey, I am 21 and I am currently going to school for my fifth semester at BYU-Idaho studying Early Childhood/Special Education. I love music, mostly singing, anything from choral to pop music. It is my passion. I also like to dance, I did ballroom for 4 years when I was younger. I have 1 brother 1 sister in law, a mom, and a dad. I have been called to serve a mission in Columbus Ohio. I am so excited to serve the Lord and bring the gospel to those who are ready to hear it. I love spending time with my family, and friends. I love playing with my little cousins and watching them smile and say silly things. I love to see people happy, and be around happy people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. There is so much hope in this church. I don't know where I would be without it. We preach of Christ, that is why He is on our name, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Christ is our main focus. He can help us through anything, because he suffered in the garden, and bled from every pore for me, and for everyone else that has ever lived. He has felt everything from pain to sorrow, to joy. He is the only one who knows how we feel. As I have come closer to him, I have felt his support and guidance lead me through the toughest trials in my life. This hope that Christ gives makes me so happy. I am a Mormon because I want to have an eternal family. Families can be together forever through the work we do in temples. As long as we strive to be the best we can be and repent when we make mistakes we can be forever families.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways. One of the most important ways I do this is by example. I try to do everything I can to be the best I can be each day. Striving to be like my Savior Jesus Christ. Praying to Heavenly Father for strength to get through the toughest times in my life. He is there and I know that as I do this I am blessed beyond what I would ever imagine. Service is a huge part of how I live my faith, I find myself becoming closer to Christ as I serve those in need, even if it's just a smile, a listening ear, or helping them with something they can't do themselves. As I lose myself in service of others I find myself coming closer to Christ and seeing those I serve through Heavenly Fathers eyes. There is nothing more rewarding than that.
