Hi I'm Robin

I grew up in Eastern Washington. I studied Food Science and Human Nutrition at Washington State University. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I didn't grow up a member of the Church. I was introduced to the Mormon missionaries when I was a senior in high school through a friend. I was curious about the Church and wanted to learn more about its beliefs. After meeting with the missionaries I finally felt like the empty place that had been inside of me be filled. I have never been happier than I am now.

Why I am a Mormon

I used to wonder if the world would be different if I weren't in it. It was through investigating the Church that I was reminded of my true purpose and identity. I am a daughter of God. I have come to earth to have joy and prepare to return to my Heavenly Father's presence and that the world would be different if I were not in it. This realization gave me hope and showed me my own personal worth. "Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God" (D&C 18:10). My decision to be baptized was not well received by my parents. They thought I was too young to be making such a huge decision (I was 18), but I could not deny the Spirit that had touched me. The Lord has said "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). I knew that had to be baptized. Going against my parents will was the hardest thing I have ever done. To seek comfort, I turned to the scriptures and found peace through the words of Moroni, "faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith" (Ether 12:6). I had faith that things would work themselves out and I can tell you today that my relationship with my family has never been stronger. The Lord has the ability to soften hearts and work things out for our good. I love my Heavenly Father. I know that this Church is true! I'm grateful to have a prophet on earth today who leads and guides the Lord's Church. I know that as I continue to keep the commandments and the promises I have made I will be blessed. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I serve as a ward missionary. I have had numerous opportunities to share my testimony with others who, like me, are searching to fill an emptiness inside. I feel privileged to help others come to the the realization that I did, that this is the Restored Church of Jesus Christ! I recently attended a baptism for a dear friend who took the leap of faith and promised to "stand as a witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places." (Mosiah 18:9) The Gospel truly does bring pure joy and happiness that can't be found anywhere else.
