Hi I'm Ethan Moss

I've lived across the United States. I hold my family to be important above all else. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, but due to my dad's work I have since lived in Pennsylvania and Minnesota. I love hanging out and playing sports and video games with friends. I enjoy everything from camping in the mountains to visiting comedy clubs in the big cities. My life really revolves around family, and I give thanks to my wonderful parents for raising me with love and care. In school, I was involved in crosscountry, track, and swimming. Also, I submerged myself into the academic rigors of the IB program, and have since decided to major in neuroscience at BYU. I love the idea of researching how the brain works in order to help others around the world overcome their problems. On my mission I had the opportunity to learn the Spanish language and to learn to love Latin culture. They are amazing people and they have made a huge impact on my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of this church and my parents taught me to have faith in Christ. My whole life, I just acted on borrowed light; if my parents believed in Christ, it was good enough for me. One day however, when I was around 16 years old, I was upset because I had realized that I didn't know for myself if this church was something that was completely true. I knew that the things I had been taught were good and that they made the world a better place. And I believed in Christ, but I hadn't felt a sure witness that he was actually my literal, living savior. So I turned to the Book of Mormon. I read it everyday, and every time I read it, I felt closer to my Savior. So I kept reading it, thirsting after the words and doctrine of Christ. And now, more than five years later, I am able to say without a shadow of a doubt that I know that my Savior lives. I know that he suffered and died for me personally. And I know this because I read the Book of Mormon. It changed my life. And it can change yours too.

How I live my faith

Not too long ago I returned from my service as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Riverside, California. Missionaries for my church are sent to various parts of the world for three main reasons: to serve others, to invite others to come unto Christ, and to essentially make the world a better place. I believe that when people in the world follow the example of Jesus Christ, and choose to be a part of his church, they not only have their personal lives healed, but are given more joy. Being a missionary was a great experience, and it really taught me how to be more like the Savior. Today my actions are much more a result of asking myself what he would do, or how he would think or respond to a situation. Knowing that He lives and loves me gives me the motivation that I need to be better everyday.
