Hi I'm Robert Carter

I was born in Ogden Utah. I came from an inactive family. I became active after Carole & I were married.

About Me

I love the outdoors. I enjoy camping & fishing with my wife & family. I very much enjoy working with my hands building & helping other & people where & when I can. My wife & I love to garden & work in our yard. We receive a great deal of help from our children. They visit often & enjoy doing things for us that we are unable to do for our selves. As I grow older, I am ever learning to appreciate these things even more how important the family & the gospel are in my life. We have seven children & a dog who is very much a part of the family. He is alot of company to me. We enjoy riding our ATV together & he loves to go fishing. My wife is & has always been a great influence for good in my life & I love her dearly. I love to attend the temple with her & pray that we will be together for all eternity. I love the Lord & I love the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I think the main reason I am a Mormon is that I am a member of the only true church on earth. It tells me that if I live the commandments of the Lord I will have my wife & family for all eternity. Our church is led by a living prophet on the earth today. He is inspired by the Lord to lead, guide & direct us and relay to us the things we should know. By studying the scriptures & listening to our church leaders I have gained a testimony of the gospel. I know it is true, that God hears & answers prayers & that He loves all of us. Being a Mormon lets me know that I am a son of God, that I can talk to Him through prayer & know that He hears & answers them. I am a Mormon & I want people to have what I have, the gospel of Jesus Christ in their lives. I think that being a Mormon just makes me a better person

How I live my faith

The first thing that comes to my mind is I try to attend all of my church meetings. I think that being a good example is one of the best tools we have as LDS people. I try to live my faith as the Lord would have me do. To partake of the Sacrament & renew the covenants I have made with my Heavenly Father. I feel that charity is a great part of living my faith, not only in money but in deed. I pray each day that we will have sufficient for our needs & enough to help those who are less fortunate. I like to think that being honest is a great part of living my faith. I have served in many positions in the church & can't remember ever refusing a calling. My latest were secretary of the High Priest group, 51/2 years in the bishopric & two years as a High Councilman. I have been a home teacher for many years, many of those with my wife as my companion. I love being a home teacher. It gives me the chance to be of service & a missionary at the same time. I feel that paying a full & honest tithing is one of the most important parts of living my faith. The Lord promises us that if we do we will be greatly blessed. I am thankful to have the opportunity to live my faith to the best of my ability as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
