Hi I'm Ethan

I'm a college basketball fanatic, a lover of movies, and an Emma Stone doppelganger. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in South Carolina and am the youngest of five children. My dad was raised in the Church and my mom is a convert; their testimonies and good examples have taught and encouraged me so much throughout my life. I'm currently 19 years old and serving a Mormon mission temporarily in Anaheim, California; soon I will depart for Buenos Aires, Argentina and complete the rest of my two years there. I attended Brigham Young University for 3 semesters before starting my mission. I enjoy cooking, camping, watching movies, watching sports (especially basketball) and listening to music. I have also been involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for about a year and a half. A lot of people tell me I look like Emma Stone, so that's pretty cool I guess.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love and know me personally. That is the central message of the Church: God's love. It is because of this love that He has established this great plan for us: to come to earth, develop meaningful relationships, grow from our experiences, and eventually return to Him. I am grateful for the living prophets and apostles who teach us about this plan and guide us in the direction of the Lord. I love my family dearly, and am grateful that the Lord has provided a way for us to be sealed to the ones we love through the ordinances in the Holy Temple. I have been so blessed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it is for this very reason that I am grateful for the opportunity to share this joy with others.

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ was the ultimate example of serving others, and that's the main way I live my faith: by serving others. I did a food drive for a local food bank for my Eagle Scout project and I can honestly say it's one of the most meaningful things I've ever done. Some of the most joyous moments of my life have been when I was serving my brothers and sisters. I am so grateful for the opportunity I've been given to serve and teach the people in Anaheim and Buenos Aires.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Ethan
The message that missionaries bring is that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind, and that His church has been restored and is led by a living prophet. Show more Show less
