Hi I'm Anika

I am a student at BYU-Idaho and I am studying Recreational Therapy.

About Me

I just got home from serving a mission in the Japan Tokyo mission. I loved every minute of it! I love Japan and I love this church! I am studying Therepeutic Recreation at BYU-Idaho. I love the outdoors. I enjoy spending my summers hiking and backpacking as much as I can. I also love snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter. I love playing the piano and singing, and I love drama and dramatic analysis. I love looking at art and listening to music.

Why I am a Mormon

Through study and prayer I've come to know that this is the true church. I've felt God's love for me and others more times than I can count as I've learned about this church and Jesus Christ's gospel. I know that this is the true church, and I love the purpose that this gospel gives my life. I have seen so many times where truths learned from this church have changed lives and made people so happy.

How I live my faith

By following the teachings taught by the Savior and the prophets in the scriptures, as well as those taught by modern prophets and apostles. I also showed my faith by serving an 18 month mission, in which I spent all of my time teaching others about Jesus Christ, and how he can help them in their lives. I study the Bible and the Book of Mormon every day, and I pray every day, so that I can feel direction and love from God and Jesus Christ. I try every day to be the best person I can be, and when I slip up and make mistakes, I am so grateful that I can turn to Jesus Christ to help me change and to be forgiven of my mistakes.
