Hi I'm Tyson

I'm going on a Mission to the Caribbean Sea, I am called The Knight of the Wind, and I love being a Mormon.

About Me

First thing anyone should know about me is that I am a Knight in it's truest form. I own a copy of, and have memorized The Code of Chivalry. I call myself The Knight of the Wind for a spiritual reason in that the Lord sends us Divine Wind in the form of Grace to help us along and to save us. Currently, as of Sept. 9, 2015, until Sept. 9, 2017, I am serving and LDS mission in the Barbados, Bridgetown Mission. I'm doing it because I love the Lord and I want to serve him to the best of my ability and build His Kingdom on this earth. It's kind of hard to talk about me without including the gospel, for it is such a big part of my life. The Book of Mormon is Literally my favorite book to read. My favorite hero is from the Book of Mormon: Captain Moroni. I love him because of his faith in God and his determination to protect his country, his family, and his liberty, from the hands of evil men and devils. I obtained the Rank of Eagle Scout when I was 15 through a lot of hard work and diligence. It wasn't easy! Some of my favorite hobbies are playing computer games with my brother and other games with my family, distance Running, and learning to play Hymns and Primary Songs on the Piano. Another thing about me, a part of my Knight-ship, is that I have fashioned a real Sword, Scabbard, Shield, and I someday will have real armor and a Helmet. I also love to play with Legos. I have some Castle Legos that are my favorite, So I can be a Knight, and play with them at the same time.

Why I am a Mormon

Put Simply, the only reason that I am a Mormon is because I received a Divine Manifestation from the Lord God Almighty that it is His True Church on the earth today. I was born into the church, but if I hadn't received this testimony for myself, I probably wouldn't still be here. For all of you who are either questioning your testimony of the church or are trying to find out if this is the true church, don't even think about determining what you believe on what I'm saying! EVERYONE must find out for themselves! YOU must read the Book of Mormon and study the Gospel, and then pray to the Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, sincerely wanting to know whether or not this church is His on the earth. If you do this, the Lord himself will tell you through his Holy Spirit if the church is true or not. This is the only way you can know. I have done this, and I know that this is the true church. Another big reason I have the faith that I do is because of my parents. My whole life, they have severely limited my exposure to the outside world and the influences of it, including, but not limited to, video games, movies, cultures, practices, and information. They pretty much forced me early on to choose the right, and I know that doesn't work with very many kids, but luckily for me, it formed an unbreakable code inside my soul of what is right and what is wrong. I am a Blue Personality, based on the book "The Color Code", and blue personalities are very driven towards always doing what is morally right. We learn about what is right, and sear it into our brains. I have done this, and that's why many people have come to me and asked me what I think about doing certain things. They ask me what is right, and I tell them what I believe. I don't know everything; there's only one person who lived in this world that does, but I do know a lot from what He has taught me, and I want to share that with all people. Why am I a Mormon? because I Love the Lord, and I want to Choose the Right.

How I live my faith

First thing about how I live my faith that I need EVERYONE to know: I don't live it perfectly. Many people who know me may say that I seem to be a perfect person, but I am not. I make mistakes all the time. But the thing about me that is different from many others is that I do my ABSOLUTE best to keep the commandments of God. I have so many imperfections that I can't count them all, but what I do with those, instead of give up, is I use them to keep myself humble before the Lord, and to acknowledge before him that I am always in need of his Grace. I can't live without it, and the more I realize that, the more of it I receive. I live my life largely through the scriptures, some could even say I'm always studying them, because when I was in High School, I had a goal to memorize all 100 Scripture Masteries for seminary, which takes memorizing them all day for many days. I'll have you know, I did accomplish my goal 3 years in a row, but not by my own power, only with the Lord was I able to. My favorite scripture is Alma 48:17! Seminary has played a big part in my life. I was a member of the Seminary Council, and helped other students to join seminary and to stay active in it. I loved my seminary teachers and I felt the spirit in their classes every day. I know the Lord acted through them every day to make me who I am today. I enjoy wearing "LDS shirts", one of which, my favorite, says "Army of Helaman" on the front, and has a picture of stripling Nephite Warriors, and Missionaries standing side by side as an army ready to battle the Adversary. Others of these shirts say things like: "I love Modest Girls" and "Mormon Dude" (in Mountain Dew style). I also love the passage of scripture in Ephesians 6:10-18, which talks about the Armor of God. I love the Armor of God! I visualize it on my every day as real Armor. I know what every piece is, and I know what they do. They are very powerful tools, and with them, I know I will return to live with my Heavenly Father again! :)
