Hi I'm Russell

I grew up in Ontario Canada. I like to be out doors. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired handiman. I served in the Royal Canadian Airforce for 10 years and then I became a meat cutter for 20 years. Some of my hobbies are hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping. I love to listen to country music. I have 3 children. One boy and two girls. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family. I play cribbage and I enjoy spending time on the computer.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this gospel has helped me in many ways. It has given me more peace of mind and to live a better life. I haven't always been a member of this church. Before I joined the church I was a member of the United Church but I felt that my life was lacking in something. I was invited to learn about this gospel and I really enjoyed the different things that I learned and how everyone was apart of it. It wasn't one person telling you what to do but we were all learning together. When I first learned about the Restoration of the gospel I didn't fully understand it but I kept going with it. Eventually I knew that this was right and that this was for me. There have been many blessings that have come since I have joined the church and I have felt more peace and happiness in my life. The gospel teaches us on our unique level and I am happy to be called a mormon.

How I live my faith

I have worked with the young boys in scouting. My responsiblility was to help the boys learn basic skills and survival skills. I also greeted everyone as they came to worship services. As members of this church we believe in helping one another and looking out for each other. I was able to watch out and take care of people and to help them in any way I could.
