Hi I'm Nicole Hancock

I am a full-time student. I am a big sister, and a redhead. And I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in the Pacific North West. I am currently a junior in college where I am majoring in Biology and working towards becoming a veterinarian. I am the older sister of four rambunctious boys, and the only girl in my family (aside from my mom). I have been blessed with incredible parents who have loved and supported me throughout my life. I love being active, and have both participated in and coached gymnastics. I also have a passion for horses and absolutely love horseback riding. I also enjoy singing and playing the acoustic guitar. I have loved how the gospel has been able to grow with me as I grow and am better to understand some its principles.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first and foremost because living the gospel makes me happy! There is nothing in this world that makes me happier than living by the standards of the church. I have been raised in the church, and as I came to my teenage years, it was time for me to decide if I believed in the church and if it was how I wanted to continue to live. Through much prayer and scripture study, I built upon my childhood testimony and realized I did know this church is true. The principles that it teaches and the knowledge it provides gives hope and light in this confused world we live in. One thing I love about this church is it provides long-lasting happiness. Happiness that comes from knowing that you have a Father in Heaven watching over you who can give you guidance and direction. This gospel to me means that I can be with my family forever. Not just on earth, but for all of eternity. It means I can see my loved ones again who have passed away. It gives me hope for the future and comfort in times of trial. I know this church is true and that by abiding by its principles we can achieve eternal life and return to live with our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my daily actions. I pray daily and enjoy the strength and peace that comes from speaking with my Father in Heaven. I read my scriptures and search for the guidance that they provide. I try to follow the Savior's example and work to attain the qualities He portrayed throughout His life. I attend my church meetings and go prepared to feel the spirit. I strive to uplift those around me and be the best person that I can be.
