Hi I'm Sharlee

I'm a wife. I'm a mother. I'm a convert. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a new mother of a baby boy. My husband and I only see each other 2 weeks out of every month because of where he works. I am going to school to become a registered nurse. I enjoy spending time with my beautiful family and trying out new recipes!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a sophomore in college, my boyfriend (now husband) shared with me a lesson of the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. How it is universal. The Atonement not only covers sin, but all pain, anger, grief, sorrow. It applies to everyone. Christ knows us personally and he knows our every worry. We are all sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. He loves us on a personal and individual level. I had never felt such peace and understanding as when the Spirit taught me of these profound and eternal truths. Over a period of almost two years since I became a member, I have learned line upon line, precept upon precept about the restoration and fullness of the gospel. I love the gospel and Jesus Christ with every fiber of my being. I am far from perfect, but that is the beauty of the Church. We give our most, we are forgiven of all, we are made perfect through Christ. Since I have become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have felt the happiest and most content I have ever felt. I know that through prayer, scripture study, and following commandments that I have been promised so many wonderful blessings including the ultimate blessing of an eternal family. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether it be in my home with my family, or with friends who have not heard much about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Serving others brings no greater joy. Helping a friend in need or lending a hand to a stranger is how I feel the pure love of Christ. Searching the scriptures for answers, peace, and comfort are another way I live my faith.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Sharlee
The Law of Chastity is the commandment that we are only to have sex with our spouse. In a time where sex before marriage, and straying while married is common and even promoted by media, it is even more important to understand the importance of being chaste. Chastity helps us to understand the love that Heavenly Father has for us. He wants us to be pure for our spouse, and for ourselves. Remaining chaste holds the promise of happiness for a family. When we break the Law of Chastity, we not only hurt ourselves, but those we love. It is a serious transgression, however we can repent and are able to once again find peace and happiness through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
