Hi I'm Sarah

I'm studying animal science at BYU-Idaho with an emphasis in equestrian studies. I love animals. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love animals. I have loved being around animals since I was a little girl; especially horses. It has always been my dream to work with animals, but I never thought it was going to be possible until recently. I realized that I wanted to be happy, and this is what will help me get there. So I very recently changed my major to animal science. In the end, I want to be working with horses. I want to be training them, giving horseback riding lessons, and other stuff along those lines. The reason I love being around animals is because they are so complex, yet simple. You can't help but look at them and know that they have a spirit in them. And that spirit was created by a supreme being. Think about it. They have distinct characteristics. They have built in instincts that just come with their being that help them survive in their atmosphere. How else would they know all that stuff? They don't have schools like us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I know that it is the only true church on this Earth. God loves his children so much. In the past, I have gone through so many trials. Through these trials, Heavenly Father has been at my side the entire time. I know I can count on Him to be there for me when I feel like nobody else is. He'll always listen to us when we talk to him. He answers our prayers even if the answer isn't always what we want it to be. We have to put our trust in Him and everything will turn out just right. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon and that it was given to Joseph Smith so that he could translate it for us in these last days through the power that God gave him. Everything in this book can be related to people today. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. It goes hand in hand with the bible. I love this church and my life would definitely not be the same without this gospel in my life. I know that it can bless the lives of every single person if they just give it a try.

How I live my faith

I just returned home from serving a mission for the church in California. I am going to school at BYU-Idaho, and I love it! I love the atmosphere here because it is almost a given that I will feel the spirit everyday that I'm here in my classes, or around campus. Also, it's a nice location to attend the temple regularly and worship there because it's not too far away.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Sarah
The missionaries will talk about the Plan that our Heavenly father has put in place so that we can live with Him again. They will teach you about Jesus Christ, His Atonement, and how we can grow closer to Him by following His teachings. And as you listen to these missionaries, the Spirit will testify to you that the things they are saying are true. So pay attentions to your feelings about what they are saying more than what they are actually saying. Show more Show less
