Hi I'm Heather

I love to learn. I have 4 kids and a preschool I run out of my home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

For as long as I can remember I have longed to be a mother. After struggling to conceive I embarked on a learning journey to help solve my problem. It worked. I was able to get pregnant and now have 4 beautiful children. This has become my new routine. I find an area of my life to improve and research what I can to make it better. I am currently working on improving our health and eating habits. I started teaching preschool from my home a few years ago, and it has been a lot of fun. I love that it is something I can do with my children. I love having a family and finding new activities we can enjoy together.

Why I am a Mormon

I have made an effort this last year to read the Book of Mormon more. I have read it twice this year. As I progressed through my reading I noticed a change begin to happen in my life. I began to feel a deeper desire to follow Christ. I began to see areas of my life that needed to be better. Things that I was allowing to come into my mind and home that were only serving to push me farther away from feeling God's love, which I so desperately long to enjoy. I realized that I was spending too much time thinking and worrying about things that are not really of value. I began to make changes. Some were harder than others. Some were simple adjustments and others I had to have courage to change. As I have made these changes I have seen and felt a closeness to the spirit of Christ that I haven't experienced before. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ my whole life. I have been trying to live a good life. But I realized it could be better. Now I am a little sad that I didn't experience this sweet feeling sooner. I am so full of joy for a loving Father in Heaven who has given us the truth of the gospel of Christ. He has provided us with the ability to learn for ourselves the best way to experience this life. He does not want us to go it alone. He is there waiting for us to seek him out and ask for his spirit to guide us and bless us. I have felt his love and seen his many blessings poured down upon me. I know that Christ lives. He is real and he wants us to be happy. He wants us to be together in Heaven and find joy throughout eternity. I know that we can, if we will seek him out and live his teachings.

How I live my faith

I have spent most of the last 10 years working with the children in our church. I have taught classes and been the music leader. I love to work with children. I was just called to the Young Women's program to serve as a leader to the 12 and 13 year old girls. I am excited to help them through these important and formative years. I look forward to seeing what topics they are interested in learning and helping them find their testimonies of Christ and his truths. I hope I can share my love of being a mother and my joy in womanhood with these beautiful young women. I want them to know that they are precious daughters of a loving Heavenly Father who wants them to live a full and virtuous life.
