Hi I'm Judy

I grew up in Utah. I am just the same kind of person that you may be too. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am married, a mother of four and now a grandmother of thirteen. I spent my working years as a clinical medical assistant, a teachers aid for special needs children in the school district, and caring for our elderly parents. My favorite hobby is piecing quilts, writing and searching for information on my ancestors.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors heard the gospel of Jesus Christ taught by early missionaries in England. They were very religious people and recognized the Gospel as it had been In the ancient church, as taught by Jesus Christ, including apostles and priesthood authority. They accepted the gospel and was baptized. After that they were persecuted by people of other religions. No one would hire them so they had no work. They came to America to be with other people of their faith. In America, they were again persecuted by people that did not understand who the "Mormons" were. They were coming from all parts of Europe, as well as the eastern states in America to be with others of the faith, to live together in "Zion", a place that they could worship without fear. That never happened and the growing number of members were forced out of Illinois and Missouri by mobs. Many of my ancestors were killed or lost their lives to sickness as they were pushed West. They gave everything for their belief in the newly restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I was taught the gospel from the time I was a child but I had to find a testimony of the truth for myself. We all have to be converted to truth for ourselves. Through participation, study and prayer, I learned for myself and gained a testimony of the truthfullness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best christian, follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, that I can. Christ is our perfect example in all things. I try to watch out for all our neighbors, help them when they have a need of any kind. I have taught the little children (ages 3 to 12) in our children's organization called Primary. Here we help them to learn and understand how special they are to the Savior and to their Father in Heaven. I taught them of the creation, the stories from the Bible, Old and New Testament, and from the Prophets of the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I try to be the example of what I teach and I try to show then the same love for the children that Christ does. The Savior is my example in all I do. or all I try to do. I sometimes fall short just like we all do. But I know that Christ atoned for my sins. Through my repentance and His forgiveness, I know that I can be forgiven of my short comings. That means a lot to me.
