Hi I'm Robert

I grew up in Southern California. I'm a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student, studying information systems. I consider myself a baseball player but more recently have gotten into soccer. I would always rather be outside playing sports, hiking, or adventuring than staying indoors. My strongest passion is music; playing guitar and piano as well as singing. I plan to work in the field of information systems, raise a family, and never stop going on adventures.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the spirit I feel when I attend church. And when I read the scriptures. And when I pray. Growing up with an older handicapped brother and divorced parents who lived in different states forced me to mature quickly. I came to realize that genuine happiness and peace come only through Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is taught in the Mormon church, teaches us to find joy through family, personal improvement, and service to God and to our fellow men. I am happiest when I am doing my best to be more like Christ. In the Mormon church we also believe that families can be together forever if we keep the commandments and participate in necessary ordinances. I am motivated to do what's right by my goal of having my own eternal family.

How I live my faith

I serve as a clerk in my ward. I keep track of finances and membership in the ward. I try to make sure no one goes unnoticed or is forgotten. I am also a home teacher. As a home teacher I am assigned to look out for certain members of my church community. I visit them at least monthly and always become good friends with those I serve.
