Hi I'm Richard Alonzo Mickelsen

I'm a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ and I'm proud to be Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in Utah, raised in the church with a wonderful father and mother. They taught me who my Savior was though true Christ like love. I grew up and held calling in the church which gave me a chance to serve others. Through High School I played Lacrosse, sang in the chamber choir, received my eagle scout, enjoyed spending time with great friends Hiking, backpacking, road biking, my life was filled with joy. I also graduated seminary. In seminary I had many great examples I could look up to, they were all great men of God. I loved growing up in the young mens program of the church. My leaders truly supported me while I was growing and building my own testimony of Jesus Christ. While growing up we found out that I have dyslexia. Reading was a large struggle for me. Reading my scriptures was next to impossible. I knew that I had to read my scriptures, it was a commandment from God. So over time with diligence the scriptures started to make sense and my reading improve. I know that in the scriptures there is power! As we take the Gospel and apply it to our life we will find more joy then ever before!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith but that does not mean I haven't had a chance to see if I truly believe! I know this is the only true church on earth! Its the same church that was here while Jesus Christ was here on earth! I have felt his love and blessing and the power of the priesthood many times! that's why I'm a Mormon

How I live my faith

I am spending the next two years in North Carolina, Serving a mission. What a wonderful chance it is to serve the Lord and teach the children of God! I love how I am able to come closer our savior by following in his foot steps by teaching his gospel. In this church we are all unique and special to our Heavenly Father, He loves us and cares for us! Come and see what he can add to your life.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Richard Alonzo Mickelsen
We are asked to give 10% of our income to show thanks to our heavenly Father! He owns everything in the world. He has let just come to this earth to be tested. the only thing we can give to him is our love and devotion! Like I said earlier tithing is to show love to our Father, the money is used to build churches, temples, activities.. ect. Our ministers are not paid for their teaching. They do it out faith! I testify that if you pay tithing you'll be blessed beyond belief! More then you could ever imagine! Show more Show less
