Hi I'm John

I play the trumpet, I like to count money, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

im 19 yrs old, just graduated high school, and right now I'm working an awesome full time job to prepare for a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 8 yrs old, I had enough accountability to make the choice for myself. and though, when youre a little kid, church can sometimes be boring for your short attention span, I've leaned so much and gained a strong testimony of family, pray, and of the book of mormon by being an avid member.

How I live my faith

I've been the president of my youth group to organize and plan activities. I've also had the oppourtunity to give sacrement talks on an assigned subject. The confidence I've gained from having experience talking in front of an entire church and leading my youth group has helped me in so many other times! (no, we dont have a traditional preacher that you see on television.) I've learned that His way is the best way and so i do my best to live His commandments to the fullest.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

John
family shouldnt be important to just mormons. I believe family is important to everyone. Your family raises you, teaches you, and protects you. You learn some of the most important things in life when you have a strong family relationship like love, patience, and being selfless. when the "Proclomation to the World" came out, it explained the purpose and roles of the family and why its so important. A family is actually one of the reasons we are on earth. without my family working so hard for me, i wouldnt have an education, a job, a car, or the oppourtunity to serve a mission. but in the end, i guess none of those material objects matter because once we all die, you cant take anything with you except your knowledge and your family.
