Hi I'm Nadine

I'm a student. I'm a dreamer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California. I'm a college student and I love to learn about anything and everything. I like to look at life as an adventure! I love to travel and discover new ways of living and thinking. I have a passion for people. I have a passion for music. I have a passion for writing. I play the cello and love to sing. Music astounds me.The world is such a colorful place with so many things to do and learn and I am always in awe of the beauty and majesty of God`s marvelous creations. There are so many things in this world that I love, but I am the happiest when I am with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, grew up going to the Sunday services every week, and was raised in a home centered on the teachings of Christ found in the Bible and in the Book of Mormon. My mother loves the Bible. I can remember and sing all of the Bible songs that she learned to sing when she was young, which she then would sing all the time when I was a child. I was taught of Christ; what He did and what He does for us. I am Mormon because I know that Christ leads this church. He called a prophet who leads the church under His direction. The Book of Mormon testifies of Christ`s mission in the meridian of time and prophesies of His return in the near future. It`s true, and I cannot wait for that day!

How I live my faith

The Bible and the Book of Mormon teach us of Christ and bear record of the things that He has taught. I live my faith by trying to be more like Jesus. If I see someone in need, I try to do what Christ would do to help. In the church, I help out with the Sunday services held for members of the State Hospital who would like to participate. We teach each other the doctrines found in the scriptures and take part in the sacrament ordinance that reminds us of Christ and the covenants we make at baptism.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

We are baptized because Jesus was baptized. He taught that we all must follow His example and do so ourselves. It is a wonderful and sacred opportunity to participate in this ordinance. I was baptized by my father, who held the priesthood authority from God to do so. When I was baptized I made a covenant, or a promise that I would accept and follow Christ, always remember Him, and keep His commandments. By promising that, Heavenly Father promises to forgive my sins and let me return to live with Him as long as I keep my part of the covenant. Show more Show less
