Hi I'm Wade Bennett

I'm a kiwi living in Australia for 2 years as a Missionary. I love music & the water And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was Born in New Zealand but moved to Australia a few years ago for work....(Pay wages in NZ are rather low).... Come from a family of 7 but then over life it changed to about 12.... In New Zealand and also the pacific island's, family is of great importance, it is what makes us strong...Growing up in a religious family you have to make a few rather big choices.... Am I going follow my parents example and keep going to church and live a righteous life or am I gonna go down another path?.... I went down both and found out that the example my parents and the savior Jesus Christ set for me was the example I wanted to be for others.... 2 of my brothers served full time as misssionaries of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, 1 in Australia and the other in America, and 1 brother serving a mission in heaven.... So I had alot of examples in my life to follow... So I have made the decision to serve as a full time missionary.... And it is the greatest decision I have made in my life

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon for 2 reasons..... 1. I was born and raised this way and 2. It brings me joy and happiness to know that my family is forever, to know that I can see my brother again and having a knowledge that god and Jesus Christ lives and loves me

How I live my faith

I live my faith by increasing it daily through reading the scriptures, serving my fellow brothers and sisters and through daily prayer.....As a missionary you need alot of faith.... Faith in Jesus christ, faith in the answering of prayers and faith in those we share this message with..... I follow jesus christ's example by serving, because that is what we do as missionaries.... WE SERVE OTHERS... But I am to do it for the rest of my life

What is the First Vision?

Wade Bennett
The first vision is the experience the prophet (was not a prophet at this time) Joseph smith had when he saw god the father and his son Jesus Christ.... How it all started was, he lived in a time, like ours, where there were many churches, teaching many different things, and Joseph wanted to know which one was true.... So through attending many churches and from reading the bible, he came to the conclusion that he had to act, to choose one, but which one was right?..... One day he came across a scripture in the Bible which says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him” (James 1:5). Joseph lacked wisdom, so he asked of god.... One spring morning, he went to a grove of trees and knelt down, and began to pray, in which he has, what we call the first vision.... He describes it in his own words as.." I saw a pillar of light, exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me.. “When the light rested upon me, I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him"...Joseph saw God the father and Jesus Christ.. They told him that the church he has been looking for, has been lost over the centuries but will now be restored through him. And that moment started the restoration of the church Show more Show less
