Hi I'm Nathan Reid

I grew up in St. George Utah, I'm a 6 foot 5in nerd, I served a LDS mission in the New York Utica Mission, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I can enjoy doing just about anything. I like watching funny movies and T.V shows, playing video games, drawing, reading, laughing, doing random things at the mall, hiking in Zions National Park, and watching those boring nature documents you skip while channel surfing. I feel what is more important then what you are doing is who you are with like family and friends. I was raised in a competitive family with one older Sister and 4 younger brothers. In high school I participated in Speech and Debate tournaments, joined FFA, took lots of art classes, and won every video game tournament the school had had (except one, but those rules were rigged!) I am a proud Eagle Scout (but don't ask me to tie a knot...) I just finished spending some time away from college to serve a full-time mission in the New York Utica Mission. I enjoyed my time in New York! I'm now attending college at Dixie State University.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Holy Ghost and its influence on my life. The Holy Ghost leads and guides me as I go through my life and leaves me at peace with my decisions. In Doctrine and Covenants section 6:23 it says "Did I not speak peace to your mind concerning the matter? What greater witness can you have than from God?" I really enjoy that verse because it helps us to recognize that when we feel at peace from the Holy Spirit we can know that we are doing what our Heavenly Father wants. The Holy Ghost has also conformed to me that this church is lead, organized and teaches the way that Jesus Christ would want for the world today.

How I live my faith

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, how I live my faith effects my everyday life and decisions for the best. Just to name a few examples; As a missionary, I taught the gospel to people who do not know about Christ and his restored gospel for 2 years. I enjoy studying scriptures and learning more about how I can be more Christ-like. I also enjoy spending time with my family. Family is very important in our church because we belive familes can be together forever

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Nathan Reid
No: Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God. Just Like Moses, Joshua, Noah, Adam, Nephi and Abraham. They are God's chosen servants to be His mouth piece. Show more Show less
