Hi I'm Sidney

I love to laugh, I love the rain, I love my family, currently serving my mission in Knoxville, Tennessee. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Sidney Marie Burningham. That's me, I love my middle name. I love life and all that it entails. Tennis is my thing. June of 2012 changed my life, I had the amazing opportunity to go to humanitarian work in Zambia, Africa. I worked with these people, served them, learned of them and grew to love them very much. I served as a full-time missionary in the Knoxville, Tennessee mission, it means the world to me. Student at Utah State University. I believe that everything happens for a reason and nothing is coincidence.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was raised in this church and chose to be baptized when I was eight years old. This is what makes me happy, it gives me purpose and direction. I have definitely struggled with certain things throughout my life because we all make mistakes and we all have our weaknesses, but I have never doubted that my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ love me and will never give up on me. I believe that Joseph Smith was true prophet and that he was visited by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and was given the ability to translate the Book of Mormon which is the keystone of our religion and just another testament of Jesus Christ. I believe that we have a living prophet on the earth today who receives revelation directly from our Father in Heaven to help each of us in this mortal life. I believe there is life after death and that this time on earth is for us to be tested and to have our agency to make the right decisions and that we will be resurrected through our Savior, Jesus Christ and be able to return to live with our Father in Heaven as well as our families as an eternal unit. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it brings me happiness I would otherwise not be able to have and each day I rely on my Savior and my Father in Heaven with the daily stresses of this life. I love this gospel with everything that I am and I believe it with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I try to do what I can to be the light in others lives, to serve and to bless those that I have been blessed to come in contact with. I believe it's not so much what you do but the attitude in which you do it. I try my best each day to do as the Savior would do, I make plenty of mistakes along the way but I know it will always be worth it to give the Lord our best efforts and that that is enough for Him.
