Hi I'm Ashton J. Peters

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm the youngest of 6 children and I love my family.

About Me

I am 18 years old and am a student in college, going into medicine, as of know. My past is a bit complicated. As a child I was "diagnosed" with some learning disorders and placed in special education programs. Through hard work, on my part, my families and friends part, and by the grace of God I overcame them. While in High School I had many health problems, which landed me in the hospital many times. However, the worst health problem I had in High School was after I got out of surgery I ended up having complications... I ended up having multiple seizures and having to be resuscitated multiple times too. In addition to the sad, comes joy. While in High School, I did lots of work with the church, and helped organize stake and multi-stake youth conferences. In addition, to all of this, I worked hard in the BSA program and became an Eagle Scout, the 4th one in my family. I am currently getting ready for my mission, which is in New York, and cannot wait to go out and serve the Good Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a Mormon. I am a Mormon by choice, however, I was born into a very strong Mormon family and grateful for that. I say I am a Mormon by choice, because we all have our agency to do what we want. I have found grate peace, joy, and happiness within this religion, and have prayed and studied to know that this Church is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by having faith. Each day poses new challenges for each of us, however, sometimes it is hard to go through each days trials and not loose faith. However, I know that if we start each day by taking hands with God and Jesus, everything will be okay, for they will take you through each day and help and guide you as needed. We are all humans, so live in the day... each day is a new blessing from God, so live in it, because tomorrow is tomorrow, and the past is the past and nothing can change that... Take it day by day with faith and prayer and everything will work out, just remember we are on Gods time, not the other way around. Always have faith in the Godhead and they will provide a way for you, and the best way to have and keep your faith is to serve others!
