Hi I'm Jazmine Alexii Taylor

I grew up in Salt Lake. I love to sing and play the violin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved to be on stage. It doesn't matter if I'm singing, playing my violin, acting, dancing, or just reading a story. It has always been a way for me to escape and relax on the days I struggle most. It is one of the large reasons I am where I am today, and I'm proud of who I've become because of it. I have also had many injuries and other medical problems. For a few years there was a time where I always had a brace somewhere on my body; mostly my wrists and knees. Once those problems had been gone I began to be sick all the time and no one knew what was wrong with me, even the doctors. I had gone through almost every test possible at the hospital and still came up with no results. It took a few years to discover what was wrong, but by that point I had learned what caused my sickness and was able to control it better. I also have five siblings. Three older half-brothers, and a step-brother and sister that are younger than me. Although none of them are fully related through blood, I love each and every one of them with all my heart. Our lives have been an adventure but has also turned out to shape me for the better. When I was four my parents got divorced, and shortly after two of my brothers were put into foster care. It was a struggle losing those people for a while, but in the end I'm grateful for how things turned out. Despite all of our differences I love my family, and the way it's turned out.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of this church because it makes me truly happy. I have experienced what it's like to live without it, and throughout that time I was completely lost. Ever since I discovered how true this church really is I have never had a doubt what my purpose is, where I come from, and how I can overcome the trials I face in my life. I have also been sincerely happy for the first time in my life. For me, this church isn't something I attend just once a week. It's a way of life, because I know it's true and I've never been happier. I try my best to keep all of the Lord's commandments, because through them I know I can come home to my Heavenly Father and I will always have Him by my side to guide me in the direction I need to go. I love this gospel, and without out it I wouldn't know who I am or feel like I have a purpose. That's why I'm a Mormon

How I live my faith

While we are at church I watch the toddlers while the parents go to their own classes. We have time to play, eat snacks, sing, and teach the very basic principles we believe in as a chuch. On average, we have six children to watch each week. Although, at times it does get crazy, watching how they learn and what they know is an incredible blessing and helps build my faith in this church and in Christ. I also have the oppertunity to share my testimony through music, and play/sing for those who are in need of love and kindness. I love to play in church and in other intimate locations, because it is a more personal experience. I love to help others and try my best to be an example of Christ.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Jazmine Alexii Taylor
Everything tells me there is a God. He created this entire earth and everything living and not living on it. He created everything outside of the earth as well. He created us and our bodies, and the way our bodies function. With all of the tiny, intricate details there is no way this earth and everything on it is an accident. Show more Show less
