Hi I'm Grant

I have lived in Utah Valley my whole life. I was a three sport athlete and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have always lived here in Utah Valley. I grew up loving sports. I love to play football. It is something that will always be close to my heart. When I was a senior I suffered a major concussion leaving me to the choice of risking my life to play. It was something that I didn't want to give up but I knew that I had to. Doing so may have been hard at the time but now I know that it was the right decision. I am attending college and making the best of my situation. I am studying to become a lawyer. It will be a long road but I know it will pay off in the end.

Why I am a Mormon

As I have said before I grew up in the most Mormon populated place in the country. It is actually one of the greatest blessings of my life. Living here I have been able to surround myself with friends who live the same standards as me and appreciate them like I do. I am nowhere near perfect. I know that I have made mistakes and I know that they could have been avoided. I know that because of this church I can correct those mistakes through repentance. I know that through repentance I can find myself worthy to be in God's presence. When I was a sophomore in high school I started to doubt the teachings of the church. I had a hard time believing that things were true. For a while I had to wrestle with the fact that I wasn't sure this church is true. One day my dad told me something that really made me think. He said that the church is one of the greatest things in his life. He said that his whole life was based around the church. He told me that if he hadn't been Mormon everything in his life would be different and he couldn't imagine his life any other way. After that talk I came to a realization that Heavenly Father was always there for me. I know that the gospel is true and I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that our Heavenly Father will always be there for us. He loves us. I know that Christ sacrificed himself so that we can return to our Heavenly Father for eternity. The church is TRUE.

How I live my faith

Many times in my life I have been in situations where I had to say to myself, "If Christ was here would he want me doing this?" Almost every time I had to say that the answer was no. I have lived in an area where most people are of the LDS faith. I don't see things that are contrary from the teachings of the church very often. I have been very blessed because of it. However, I have been tempted by the adversary and several times he has succeeded. I know that by my faith I can overcome him when I live the gospel to the fullest. I have had several callings in my ward. I am currently serving as a Missionary in the Frankfurt, Germany mission.. I know that these callings are of God and I need to do exactly what he would want me to do. I try to live my life in harmony with the teachings of the church.
