Hi I'm Nadia

I was born in México and raised in Florida. I've been recently called to serve in the Carlsbad, California Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child of Mexican parents. I was born in Mexico and grew up in Florida. I am currently a college student at BYU, and I love it! I have also been recently called to serve in the Carlsbad, California Mission and I'm super excited! I love learning new things. I love the power or service and getting to meet new people. My dream is to travel the world. I love to latin dance. Family is super important to me. I love to go out and hang out with friends and I am always seeking for adventure!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents grew up in Mexico which is the place where they heard about the church and converted. My brother and I were both born in Mexico but grew up in Florida where we were also able to grow up with the church. As I've gotten older I have learned to appreciate the values and standards that I learned from being of this faith. I honestly can't even imagine where I would be if I didn't have the gospel in my life. Although I was born into the faith, I personally had my own conversion. There came a time in my life in which I wanted to know for myself if the things I was learning were true. I then decided to read The Book of Mormon and was sincerely able to feel the spirit when I read it. And when I finished reading the book I took the challenge in praying to God and asking Him if this was His church. I could remember feeling overwhelmed with peace in my heart and comforted. That was simply my answer. Now at 19, I decided that I want to be able to share the truth, the joy, and happiness with the world. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and I love Him, that Jesus Christ is an essential part of God's plan, I know that Jesus Christ loves me and that He atoned for my sins, I know that we have a living Prophet in this day named Thomas S. Monson, I know the Book of Mormon is true, I know this church is true, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

Since I am currently preparing to serve a mission, I've been helping out the missionaries in sharing the gospel and joining them in their lessons. I am also a Temple worker and it is honestly one of the best things I have ever done. When I was in school, I was one of the Family Home Evening leaders AKA "mom." We would plan activities every Monday, either being spiritual or fun, to get our little group of young single adults to get to know each other better.

What is being a Mormon like?

Nadia
Being a Mormon is great! God sent us here on earth to learn, grow, and to be happy. In order to happy we need to do those things that will draw us closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, for example, pray, read the scriptures, and attend church. By doing these things we will also come to understand God's plan for us and what he expects from us. God did not sent us here alone, he sent us here with families because families are essential to His plan. We need to be able to share that joy and love with our families, neighbors, and with everyone, because everyone is a Child of God. God loves us all and wants all of us to be happy. Show more Show less
