Hi I'm Danny

I was born and raised in Texas. I love to learn, and I love to teach and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Texas and still live in the town of my childhood. I live with my Father, along with my sister and niece. My Mother lives not too far away, and I love spending time with her as well. Ever since I joined the LDS Church in 2012, it has become the focus of my life. Right now I'm preparing to go on a mission soon and so I spend a lot of my free time studying scriptures. I do love to read and really to just think about things in general, so I'm a bit of a dreamer. I often approach things differently than most people, making me a bit odd, but I have come to love who I am and to appreciate the tender care my Father in Heaven has had for me throughout my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I don't quite remember it, but within my first year after being born my parents joined the LDS Church and went for a few years. They quit going prior to most of my memories and I was raised in different protestant churches until we settled in a Nazarene church when I was nine. I had a hard time growing up for whatever reasons and after my parents divorced while I was in eighth grade I slowly slipped down a bad path. I remember feeling empty and my whole life I was searching for peace, for something to make me fill whole. I graduated in spring 2012 and life went on as normal. I continuously lived a cycle of drawing close to God and then being selfish and pushing Him away, then feeling sorry again. That summer I was truly at a low spot in all my life and one day I was home alone when the door bell rang and I went to answer the door. There were two missionaries there and they taught me a lesson in my kitchen. I remember feeling different after they left. Over the next two weeks when I was out of town, I slowly felt a change in my heart as I thought about what they had said. Truly I had no desire to do evil, but these things invited the Spirit of God upon me and I only desired to do good. I realized by the change that had happened within myself that these things are of God, and a few weeks later I was baptized. I'm a Mormon because I know that there is no other path to happiness than Jesus Christ, and His Gospel in its fullness exist here in His Church.

How I live my faith

I strive to always obey God's commandments and recognize His hand in my life. Right now I'm preparing to serve a full-time mission in California Arcadia, where I will teach the Gospel and serve my fellow-man.
