Hi I'm Alex C Crist

I grew up mainly in southern Utah. I am studying Molecular Biology (DNA stuff) at BYU and I'm going to medical school.

About Me

I study DNA stuff. I'm going to medical school here in 2015. I'm an avid singer, reader, and backpacker.

Why I am a Mormon

I am not one to do something because other people do it. I started out as a Mormon, but I made a huge circle through other religions and I ended up back here. It's true. There's no way around it. I prayed and I was answered.

How I live my faith

I took a somewhat passive role in the Church until my mission to Chile. I'm currently working as a Ward Missionary in a Provo Youth Ward.

What is faith?

Alex C Crist
Faith for me is a relationship. A person builds up a relationship of faith with God by consistently going out a little on a limb for something God tells him to do and noticing how God has approved. I don't think faith is just believing so hard that it makes something happen. To me it seems a lot like science - we experiment on a small, fundamental thing. Of course, it doesn't end there. Clinical trials are all about human application. Likewise, as knowledge of a scientific principle (or faith) broadens and deepens, the application to real life becomes greater. More experience with faith means more use of it in life. Show more Show less
