Hi I'm Caressa

I love elephants. I served in the Jamaica Kingston Mission. I can't play the piano, but I'm still a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Caressa. I am 22 years old. I grew up on the North Shore of Oahu. I had a lovely childhood, and was reared by an amazing mother and father. I enjoyed being brought up in the gospel. My testimony was forged over a long period of time, and not in specific moments. I was lucky to have a lot given to me in my life. I consider myself blessed because of the good choices my parents have made. At the age of 20, I had the honor to be able to give back to the Lord and serve as a missionary in the Jamaica, Kingston Mission. That was a soul changing experience. I am a recently returned missionary, and honestly, I don't know what I'm doing with my life. I don't think of myself as a particularly talented or interesting person, but I trust that the Lord will guide me to what I am supposed to do and who I am supposed to be. My hobbies are few, but I am a people person. I love to talk to people. I love having friendships with everyone. I love making people laugh. I am currently attending school, studying Graphic Design. I love to eat, dance, and sing songs at the top of my lungs while driving. Yeah, that is about it about me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the doctrine of the Gospel is absolute truth. Truth is when something is sure and steady. Truth is no long theory or something to debate. I KNOW that this Gospel is true. That is because I have received a witness from the Holy Spirit. I have never seen a vision or heard a magical voice from heaven. What I have been given is a deep feeling in my heart and in my bones. I cannot prove this scientifically or logically. I believe based on how I feel. That feeling is of joy, happiness, love, peace, and euphoria. I am a Mormon for many reason But, the main reason is based on how I feel, and how my feelings have transcended into me knowing truth.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my entire life, and each day I try to be a good representative of my church. I have served in a number of areas in my church. I have been the president of a group of young women. As president I helped organize activities and I tried to help each of the girl grow closer to their Heavenly Father. I have also helped organize youth conferences, where kids, ages 14-18, spend time together having fun and learning about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been a Compassionate Service Leader, and I would help anyone who asked for my help. I was also asked to be a Family History Teacher, so I had to learn about family history and teach it every Sunday. I don't only do these things on Sunday! Everyday I try to live my faith my praying, reading my scriptures, and I try to choose the right. I make all my choices based on what I believe Heavenly Father wants me to do. I try to treat everyone around me and children of God. I love living my faith!
