Hi I'm Candice

I am a wife and mother of three from sweet home Alabama. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of three sweet and crazy kids. I have recently earned a bachelor's degree in human development and family studies. I love learning about children and how they grow and develop. I enjoy doing crafts and to cook. I admit that I wasn't the best cook when my husband and I got married seven years ago but I think I have the hang of it now. I spend a lot of time taking kids to different events or doing fun things around the house.

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I joined the Church when I was eight years old. I remember the missionaries who came to teach us. They were a wonderful older couple who spent time with us each week. They loved to show us games that they played with their children. They read the scriptures with us and told us how much our Heavenly Father loved us. I remember how warm and secure I felt when they shared their testimonies with us.I wanted to be like them, to know the things they knew. So we read and prayed and talked about the things they taught us. They were good. The teachings of the scriptures made us want to be better people. My family moved a long way away shortly after getting baptized. In our new town, the Church members were there when we pulled up with the moving van. I remember thinking that these were the type of people I wanted to be around, people who were helpful and happy. They welcomed us like we were family. As I grew up and became a young woman, my testimony in the gospel continued to grow. I found strength in our values and even though sometimes it was very difficult to stand up to those who did not share my standards, it was always worth it. I came to know who I truly was, a daughter of a King. I began to have a deeply personal relationship with my Heavenly Father, I knew that He loved me and wanted me to succeed in this life. I began to know how important living righteously was to being truly happy. Eventually, I went off to college, met a wonderful man and fell in love. We were married shortly after and now have three beautiful children together. I am beginning to understand the love that the Father really has for us. My own family is so precious to me. I can only begin to imagine how precious we are all to our Heavenly Father. I know that the scriptures are true, that Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God and that the heavens are not closed. How grateful I am to have a prophet and a loving Heavenly Father to help me guide my family back to Him.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy teaching the children in the church. My husband and I have the privilege of teaching the seven year old children at church. They are so full of questions and ideas about how to be better people. They love to hear about the Savior, especially when the stories are about other children. They have a great way of being able to take the Savior's teachings and apply them to their own lives. They teach us something new each week.
