Hi I'm Rob

I live in Michigan and work for a global software company. I have had the opportunity to live in both Europe and Asia.

About Me

I enjoy spending most of my time with my family and supporting my kids with thier projects and sports. I have six children that enjoy many different sports, including; lacrosse, soccer, track, and swimming. We also enjoy traveling and seeing new places as well as staying close to home and camping. Other sports that we enjoy with the family are both water and snow sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, however, my wife was had converted to the LDS church as a young adult and I was fortunate to meet her a few years later. The church is that solid foundation that both my wife and I feel is so critical to our family success and our overall joy and happiness. The gospel has always been so sweet and beautiful in my life. It is simple and yet it gives our family the direction and the foundation that has helped us, as a family, to become all that we could become. It has given us the basic direction and the incentive to maintain the highest of standards, that it has positively impacted every aspect of my life and that of each member of our family. I enjoy the peace of the gospel in my life. The commitments that I make to keep high moral and ethical standards. I love seeing my kids also enjoy the blessings of having a spiritual basis to their lives and being able to draw from these experiences to get through all of the trials of life. I was able to serve a mission in Asia, and my wife served in South America as young adults. Since then we have had 3 of our children serve missions in Europe and Africa. The experiences that I had on my mission has impacted my entire life, and I see the same impact in the lives of my children that have served. I learned to love the people that I had served on my mission, and I was able to return to the same country later for business. Just a side blessing from my service, but a wonderful opportunity for our family. The gospel has impacted every aspect of my life ... and what joy and happiness as a result.

How I live my faith

I love to help and serve in many ways in our church and community. Currenlty, I work with a young adult branch, those that are from 18-30 year old, and get to support them in their activities and lives challenges. I also enjoy working with the youth groups (12-18), often along side my own kids, with their activities and interests. I have been involved with the Boy Scout program, and always enjoy the campouts throughout the year, in both pleasant warm weather and the winter cold weather camping. I enjoy the warm weather, but it is fun to be with the kids in the cold weather and have so much fun regardless of the comforts that I would enjoy.
