Hi I'm Charlotte

I am a half Japanese university graduate living in North Wales. I love drawing, Disney films and animé. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from university studying English Language with Psychology last year and am currently working as a receptionist whilst waiting to go on my mission to New Zealand in April. My siblings and I were born into the church but both my parents are converts. One of my favourite hobbies is drawing and I specialise in animé-style drawing which I have spent over ten years trying to perfect. I love spending time with my family. Next to my faith they are the most important thing in the world to me. I'm not saying they're perfect, but they're pretty close! I love food, especially pork chops, tempura, udon noodles and dessert. I love to daydream - I have a pretty active imagination. I also love singing Disney songs with my older sister, and sometimes my parents too. And I love immersing myself in a good Harry Potter book!

Why I am a Mormon

As stated above, I was born into the church so it's always been a part of my life. I've had a testimony for as long as I can remember, though my testimony was further strengthened when I obeyed Moroni's challenge after completing the Book of Mormon for the first time around the age of thirteen and prayed to Heavenly Father to know if the book was true. I definitely received a confirming answer that day and it's a moment I have often fallen back on whenever I have felt myself begin to doubt. The knowledge I have because I am a Mormon is what helps me through every challenge that I encounter in life, knowing that Heavenly Father will always be there to help get me through it. I am a Mormon because I don't know what I'd be if I wasn't!

How I live my faith

I am currently a full-time missionary and so my faith really is my life right now! But even before I came out on a mission my faith was always a big influence in my life. I live my faith in nearly every choice that I make in life, from the mundane to the more important. The films and programmes that I watch, the music I listen to, the clothes that I wear and the people I associate myself with are all based around my faith. It isn't always easy to be a Mormon, but as the saying goes, "There's the right way and then there's the easy way". Living my faith perfectly isn't meant to be easy, but I know that it's right.
