Hi I'm Christian Blake

I grew up in West Jordan, UT. 22 years old, married the girl of my dreams, bball, attend Utah State University. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first semester at Utah State University. I love playing sports mainly basketball. I can play many different musical instruments including the piano, organ etc., and I am an Eagle Scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the church is true. I have found that my life is happier and goes smoother if I am living by God's commandments. I found out this in high school and I strive to keep them so I can have a life full of happiness and joy as our Father in Heaven has said we will have if we are obedient. If we live by His commandments, He blesses us more than we can ever realize. I know this gospel and church is true!

How I live my faith

I was recently an organist for a single's ward, and while I was 17 I was a primary organist for baptisms that occured in the area. I have served as counselor and president for my age group since I have been 13 in my deacons quorum. I have honorably taught my hometeaching families all my life. I love giving service to others in any and every way possible.

Are Mormons Christians?

Christian Blake
Mormon's are Christians. 2 Nephi 25:26 says "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophices, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." Christians do exactly that. This is our doctrine and I know we are Christians. Jesus Christ is our Savior. In Alma 46:15 it says "And those who did belong to the church were faithful; yea, all those who were true believers in Christ took upon them, gladly, the name of Christ, or Christians as they were called, because of their belief in Christ who should come." That church that is talked about in the Book of Mormon is the true church that I am a part of today. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Christian Blake
The Holy Ghost is the 3rd member of the Godhead. There are many feelings to describe what the Holy Ghost feels like, but I think of it as the warm peaceful feeling I have inside myself each time I am doing something good. It is a gift that can be given to each of us as a constant companion if we strive to live righteously and get baptized. It can and will protect us from danger and guide us to where our Father in Heaven wants us to go and what he wants each of us to do in our lives. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Christian Blake
No unclean thing can dwell in the presence of God. This includes all of us. If we aren't prepared for taking upon ourselves the covenants we make with God in the temple then it will mean nothing to us after we go through it. That is why we prepare our members to recieve those special blessings and truths. We also give others the chance to recieve those eternal blessings who have passed on and can't make those covenants themselves. God will allow each of us an equal opportunity to accept the restored gospel. All of his children have the opportunity to accept it. Each of us have the freedom to choose whether or not to, but each of us will get that chance. Show more Show less
