Hi I'm Lois Higgins Carter

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a Mother, Wife, & Grandmother. My husband and I together are the happy parents of seven children and twenty grandchildren. My favorite past time is reading and spending time with family. Knowledge and family relationships are eternal.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because many years ago when I was a little girl about ten years old my parents planted a seed. As the years passed I had little contact with the Church or its teaching. As a young Mother and wife I realized something was missing in my life. I became active and began to participate and take advantage of the opportunites that came my way. As I nurtured the seed it began to grow, now as a result January 26, 2013 my husband and I leave NC to begin serving a 18 month mission in the West Indies. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and want to share it with others that they too can feel the peace and happiness that the gospel brings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. Whatever is required I am committed to do my best at that time. I have been giving many opportunities to offer service in different areas. For a period of time I had the priviledge of leading the Women's Organization in my Church. This service caused me to pause and reflect upon our Savior and His service and His love for us. My heart overflows with love as I feel the Savior has taken my heart in His hands and opened it and feeled it with love. As we serve others we represent the Savior.
