Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the lord so much. I love the lord with all my heart, soul, and body. I have felt his hand being placed on my shoulder. I know he walks by my side helping me with my troubles concerns and problems. As I grew up I did not always know that I wanted to serve a mission. I thought that it was for people who really had a strong testimony of the church, and to be honest I did not have one. It was not till my Jr year of high school summer that I realized that the lord knows me. Out of all the children of the earth he knows me and he took out the time to help me and comfort me. I attended EFY a church sponsored youth summer program for a week. I went into the week not knowing what to expect. I kinda just wanted to meet girls. But what i found that week changed my life. During the middle of the week there was a dance. And I decided to join the dance off. Wrong move... I dislocated my knee and had to be carried to my dorm room. I asked my Efy counscler to give me a blessing. That blessing changed my life. He started out addressing my knee but he finished off addressing things I have been struggling with in my personal life, that he knew nothing about. Up to that point I hardly ever felt the spirit out side of a church or temple, but in my dorm room it was so strong and apparent. After the blessing I knew for myself that the lord loves me. He cares what I do in my life, and wants to help me if I help myself. I will never forget that moment. It has changed my life for the good. I am so glad, that I went that week to efy. And I am so thankful that my efy counscler was a worthy priesthood holder so that could of said the things the our lord wanted me to hear and know. I know what the lord wants me to do, and I hope one day I can help people know that the lord is there for them as I know the lord is there for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping out in my community. I try to share my gospel with my friends and family members as much as possible.
