Hi I'm Melodie Farnsworth

I am a country girl who loves outdoors, sports, and music. I served my mission in North Carolina, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I Love Sports as I had a chance to play almost every sport my small high school offered. I love to play soccer, shoot hoops, and play football. Not only do I love sports, but I love music and have been playing the piano since I was 4. I play many instruments, but some of my favorites are the violin, guitar, piano and singing. I also write my own music. I am a country girl which means I love horses, I love my cowboy boots, and I love western swing dancing. I love the outdoors including hiking, four wheeling, camping and many more outdoor activities. I love to be with my family and friends when doing something that I enjoy. I served an LDS mission in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission. There is no greater joy then to share with others what I love most, My Savior. I know that he is always there and he loves each of us individually. I have felt his love and the redeeming power of his atoning sacrifice in my life, and I want to share that with others so that they may feel the happiness that this gospel brings. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's restored gospel on the earth today, and this knowledge and my testimony mean Everything to Me!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel makes me happy. All my life I have searched to find happiness and joy and the only way I have felt truly happy is when I am living the gospel and striving to become more like My Savior, Jesus Christ. I have felt the power of redeeming love from the Savior and His Atonement and I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's restored church on the earth today. The Holy Ghost has testified to me of the truthfulness of the gospel. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, that The Book of Mormon is true, and there is a living prophet on the earth today. I gained this testimony and will not deny the truths that I have felt within my soul. I am ever so grateful for my testimony and knowledge that I have gained. I am a Mormon because it's just who I am as a Daughter of a King and I'm proud of it.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church, I have served in various callings since I was a teenager. Serving in these callings has helped me to grow, and given me the opportunity to serve others. I love to serve people whether it comes down to helping do yard work or just being a friend. Not only do I serve in my church, but my community as well. I was Miss Beaver County and did many hours of service by collecting shoes for a shoe drive, promoting my platform of suicide awareness and prevention, and helping in any way that I can. I am passionate about helping those with mental health because as a teenager, I did not know my worth and I struggled. We all struggle, but I have come to learn my worth as a daughter of God, and I want others to find their worth and know that they are special and amazing! I work with troubled teens that struggle with self-harm and suicidal thoughts. Helping them from a non-religious perspective, I want them find their worth and know that they have something to live for. I Serve my local community, but I have been able to serve abroad in Guatemala, New York, and Georgia. Being a Mormon is more than just keeping the commandments, it is striving to become like Christ every day. I strive to be more like Jesus Christ and I live the Gospel of Jesus Christ by exercising my faith, repenting each day, renewing my baptismal covenants, listening to the promptings of the Holy Ghost, and to Endure to the End. Through Jesus Christ and his atonement we can be made clean from guilt and pain, and I have felt this redeeming love and have a desire to share it with others. I love this gospel and it has made me who I am today. I am a Mormon I know it, I Live it, and I Love it!!
