Hi I'm Sierra Dawn

I like to play the guitar, hike, read, serve, learn, and laugh. I love being a nerd. I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a senior in highschool, and I love life. I enjoy all types of learning and activities: photography, statistics, web page design, guitar, running, writing swimming, and reading Charles Dickens novels. I like to chill with the math team and do crazy science experiments. I have some of my writng published, and I edit for authors. I am also an avid Lincoln-Douglas debator. I volunteer at the local rest home and have logged over 70 hours in the past 6 months. It's my favorite part of my week. I am very excited for college and my upcoming mission. The world has so much to offer and I'm dieing to experience it all!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church, but I have found its truth for myself. I find great peace in the scriptures. I believe that the Book of Mormon is an extension of the Bible, they complete each other, so there can be no argument about what each book is trying to teach. It is also reassuring to know that God has not forgotten about us in this day, and that he still gives us revalation through his prophets. It is wonderful to know that someday I can live with my Heavenly Father and loved ones in eternal happiness and glory, and that I will have the chance to learn and grow after this life. Most of all, I am a Mormon because it is the happiest lifestyle I could possibly think of. I have never met someone who is strong in our church that is not genuinely happy. There is a peace in my life I could find no where else.

How I live my faith

I am a leader in the Young Women's program, and I help plan activities on a Stake level. I choose to live my faith at all times by always respecting my body by dressing modestly, and treating others with love and kindness. I want to bring the joy I have in life to others, even if it's just by smiling and giving a helping hand.
