Hi I'm Jordan

I an arts enthusiast (espesially the performing arts). I love Music and I love to read, I'm a casual wire artist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am nineteen, and preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I am a major arts enthusiast, I love music, and sharing the joy of the gospel. Some of my many hobbies (I have way too many) include playing the Clarinet, reading, sculpture, wire art and jewelry making. I also love spending time with my family, and watching the tree sway in the wind.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon church and I've always been one, but I do have a conversion story. when I was about eight my Dad died in a car accident. This completely devastated me, it caused me to doubt almost everything everyone had told me, I turned away from the church. My mom remarried a little more than a year later, and still I refused to turn back. A few years later when I was about fourteen, I was caught up in addiction, feeling helpless and completely lost I finally decided to ask God if he really did exist, I prayed and read the Book of Mormon. I began to listen in church and spoke with my bishop, and I soon got my answer. The felling of peace that came as I turned away from my addiction and back toward Christ is a feeling that was and is so wonderful that I don't know how to even begin to describe it. It had been a long time since I had felt truly happy and It felt amazing. I do not blame God for my fathers death, I know that I will some day see him again and I look forward to that day, rather I am thankful for the things I learned from the expiriance and for the tools I gained to aid me as I face all the other trials of my life.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is something that can be very difficult at times, sometimes the hardest part is making sure I'm doing it for the right reasons and not just because it is a habit. For me living my faith really comes down to doing what I know I should be do, when I know I should be doing it, and trying my best to become like Christ, I try to do this in many ways, such as giving up things that are offensive to the spirit of the Lord, and learning to control my passions. None of us are perfect and I'm probably one of the least perfect people on this earth, but as long as I am trying to live up to what God whats me to be, I'm living my faith, I'm progressing toward becoming the man God wants me to be. Living my faith truly comes down to doing the little things every day, and always remembering my covenants, and why I made them

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Jordan
Our bodies are a gift from our Heavenly Father. Disrespecting them (drinking alcohol, smoking, drug etc.) is disrespecting God. Our bodies are called Temples because they are the teporary home to our Spirits. disrespecting our bodies not only disrespects God but also our Spirits. Show more Show less
