Hi I'm Rachel

I'm from the Philippines and I was born and raised in a Mormon family.

About Me

I am a college student. I love music, dancing, reading books, and writing. Teaching is my passion.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true Church of God. I came from a Mormon family but that doesn't mean that my parents dragged me to church. I chose to be a Mormon because through prayer and scripture reading, I knew for my self that the church is true. The Spirit of the Lord touched my heart and testified of the truthfulness of the gospel. As I read the Book of Mormon each day, I feel closer to the Savior Jesus Christ. I also develop a stronger testimony that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ and that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God. I know that as I apply the teachings from the scriptures and follow the counsel of the living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, I will be blessed and I will be able to endure to the end.

How I live my faith

I start and end my day by saying a word of prayer and reading the scriptures. By doing these, I can invite the Holy Ghost in my life and have His constant guide. I ask Heavenly Father to help me each day to choose the right and be a good example to the people around me. I strive to follow the standards in the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet and live the principles from our Articles of Faith. Most importantly, every time I make decisions or thing of something unpleasant, I remember the Primary song "If My Savior Stood Beside Me". I know that living my faith means following the steps of Jesus and being His valiant discple.
