Hi I'm Phil Andersen

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am an attorney and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a litigation attorney. Even though I am involved in lawsuits, I enjoy looking for common ground and solutions. Treating everyone with respect and trying to understand their viewpoint brings me joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a Mormon. I want to continue to a faithful member of the Church because I feel great peace knowing what God wants me to do and trying to live true to what he expects. I do not always live exactly as I should. Yet, as often as I stray, I know Jesus Christ still loves me and welcomes me back and allows me to repent. It is amazing to me that he is so merciful. I feel so indebted to him. I love my family very much and I want to be a good example to them and someday I want to live with them forever in the place where Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live.

How I live my faith

I grew up in a large family. We tried to all get along. My father often led us in kneeling family prayer. At times we would read the scriptures together. Those things always made me feel good. I now have my own family. All but two of my six children have moved on and live on their own. We feel so blessed because we love and help each other. We have made prayer, scripture reading and service part of our daily lives. It brings me joy to now see my older married children following that same pattern in their lives. My wife has served twice as the Mayor of our town. She was recently elected to work as a County Supervisor overseeing our large county. I love her very much. She is a wonderful example of a woman who always put her family first. She is happy and energetic. People are drawn to her. She often tells others that she is a Mormon. She helps them understand what we believe in.
