Hi I'm Amy

I love my family. I also love helping people. I love to babysit. I love it when I can make someone smile. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I use to working retail at a toy store. I love my job. I love helping make someones day and help them make a child smile. I also completed one year of schooling and just finished my first semester in online school. I am thinking about becoming either a teacher or a nurse. But I'm gave them all up to go on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I couldn't be more excited. I feel that being called to serve as a missionary is the best thing that has happened to me so far in my life. Although I miss my family and friends I know that it will be an amazing experience.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon. I have always had the church in my life. I however have not always lived the way that I've know I should. After I graduated high school I had a true trial of my faith. I was tempted and did somethings that I'm not proud of. I hit a very big low. I was so down and upset at myself that I didn't know what else to do but pray to my Heavenly Father. I prayed for direction in life and what I should do. I go my answer. I already knew what I needed to do and that all meant I had to change. I started to read my scriptures regularly, praying regularly, going to church, and wanted the will to learn, and I had to change they way I was living. I had to learn of the power of forgiveness the hard way. But the joy I felt and still feel when I live my life the way I know my Father in Heaven wants me to live is indescribable. It is so personal and so dear to me. I love my Heavenly Father so much and His son Jesus Christ, that right now all I want to do is show my gratitude for what they have done for them by serving them. That is one of the many reasons why I was inspired with the desire to serve.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day. I try to live by the examples I have been taught my whole life. I'm not perfect and I make mistakes. I attend church, I read my scriptures, I pray, and I try to love what I believe. I help out at activities and I try to welcome new people in who come to church. I help by teaching lessons, cleaning up, helping set up, and just be an honestly nice person.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, not all Mormons are requried to serve missions. I wasn't and it wasn't in my plans when I was younger. I had a long hard road to get to where I had even the desire to serve a mission. I had many options in my life and many choices that I had to make. I chose to serve a mission for many reasons but mostly because I knew it was something I needed to do, and that God wanted me to do.
