Hi I'm Becca

I grew up in Iowa (on corn-fed beef)! I'm a registered democrat, a mom and a Mormon.

About Me

I love art, culture, languages, politics, reading and I love pretty much all sports. I know those don't sound like they go together, but in my world they do! I'm a mom of two beautiful boys and the wife of one handsome husband:)

Why I am a Mormon

I have been attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon Church) my entire life and when life is challenging, or when life is good, I find the answers to my questions there. I know that people aren't perfect but God is. I know that this world can be discouraging sometimes, especially as a mother raising my boys in it, but I know that if I hold on to what I know is true and teach them to search for answers and pray to know what is true, they will be blessed with strength and courage. Most of all, no matter what doubts I might have, as I struggle to find answers (because I definitely still don't know everything!) I know a few things for sure; I know that God is my literal Heavenly Father, I know that his son Jesus Christ is my Savior! I know the Book of Mormon was written by prophets who lived in the Americas long ago and that Joseph Smith restored the same church that Jesus Christ established when he was on this earth.

How I live my faith

I organize sports for the Rockford area youth and adults at our church. I have worked with youth a lot in the past, I was a high school teacher and taught young adults Spanish and I love working with kids too. I was blessed with the opportunity to go on a mission to Chile where I fell even more in love with the Spanish language and most importantly the people there. My mission means the world to me! To this day I think about Chile every day.
